Venice

Sorry in the delay in posts. The last couple of days have been very tiring, particularly the trip to Venice. We left for Gatewick airport at 4 pm and didn't arrive to 6.30 due to the closure of the M23. Then the plane was late getting in to London so we ended up taking off an hour later than we should have. This meant we got into Venice at 12 am and had to make our way by bus, then water taxi to Venice island. It was fun dragging out luggage around in the narrow deserted streets of Venice at 1 am. Just when we were about to give up we found the hotel. I think without Ange leading the way we would have ended up sleeping on the streets!

Anyway enough complaining. Venice is beautiful and the weather is amazing (in the high 20's). We are planning a gondola ride for late this afternoon and then heading to this Chinese restaurant we found that serves tofu (we are sick of pasta and pizza already). Here are some snaps from yesterday.
