Tour Eiffel et la Seine

Paris has certainly absorbed us (hence our silence on the blog). It is so beautiful and we are trying hard to do all the touristy things as well as enjoy being amongst Parisians in our relatively quiet residential neighbourhood. We love it so much we have decided to stay a few extra days.

The main challenge has been (of course) the language and the fact that vegan or should I say 'vegetalienne' is far from a well-known word in a country obsessed with fromage and foie gras. We have found a few gems, however, and will post about these later. We off to another tonight. Meanwhile, here are some shots from our first touristy event - a cruise along the river seine.

  1. You both look so happy and Frenchy in the photo with the Eiffel Tower. Did you go up?
Have you been/are you going to the Pere Lachaise cemetery? I know it might be depressing to go half way around the world to see a cemetery, but Oscar Wilde is there.
Glad that you're having a smashing time. I really love reading you're blog, it's like being there!

  2. It's hard not to look happy when you are in this city. Not sure how much we are living up to the french chic look though! We are planning on visiting Pere Lachaise, it's quite near where we are staying (perhaps we will ride our bikes there). Yesterday we visited Cimetière du Montparnasse this is where Simone de Beauvoir, Émile Durkheim and Serge Gainsbourg are. Glad you are enjoy the blog x x Leeanne
